This Recaro Isofix base is unique in that both the Recaro Young Profi Plus infant carrier and the Young Expert Plus group 1 seat (9- 18kg) both can use the same base for fitting into the car. Thus if you have opted for the Recaro Young Profi Plus car seat for baby then when he or she has out grown this seat you can simply purchase the Young Expert Plus and utilise the base you purchased earlier without the expense of purchasing another base at a later date. ISOFix is by far the safest way of fixing any car seat to vehicle as the seat is fixed directly to the chassis of the car in one easy fixing (no tools required). It equally can be taken out with the simple push of two buttons. You must however check with your car dealer / manual to check that the relevant Isofix points are attached to your vehicle. This base is also compatible with the Maclaren (Recaro) car seat available with the Techno XLR pushchair.
